We believe that the human capital within our youth is the key to social and economic growth—not only at the individual level, but for society as a whole.
Outstanding education sets high standards and meaningful challenges, empowering outstanding Arab students to achieve their dreams, discover themselves, develop their skills, and seize a real opportunity that helps build a better future for the community. The programs of the “Matan” Network place the outstanding student at the heart of their focus and encourage excellence and innovation. Most importantly, they offer a golden opportunity for an exceptional youth cohort to excel in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) studies starting in high school, with the aim of continuing academic excellence—focusing on ongoing scientific research and graduate studies—until joining senior university faculty or working in the advanced technology sector in leadership roles. Moreover, the transition years from high school to academic life are among the most pivotal stages in a student’s life, where potential meets opportunity. Our organization was designed to bridge this gap and equip you with the tools you need to succeed—even before you step into a university lecture hall.
Moreover, there is a noticeable lack of representation of outstanding Arab youth in senior positions in scientific and engineering fields, including faculty members and executives in advanced technology companies. The reasons for this phenomenon are many, most notably the lack of adequate support for outstanding individuals, weak mastery of 21st-century skills, difficulty mastering Hebrew, and limited professional networks.
Acadeum is a shining model within the non-formal education system, focusing on high-potential students and graduates who are poised to excel—they are the ones who will drive change in the future. The organization’s programs include training that supports critical thinking and scientific research skills across many fields, especially in science and engineering, which are expected to have a direct impact on the Arab community. Therefore, we must provide the necessary means, support outstanding students and graduates, and invest in their capabilities.
